Dr Angad Singh
Consultant Psychiatrist
MBBS | FRANZCP
Hello, I'm Dr Angad Singh
A Little About Me And How I Work
Hello, I’m Dr Angad Singh. I’m a psychiatrist, and I completed my specialist training through Monash Health and Alfred Health. I was born in New Zealand and raised in Sydney, and over the years I have lived and worked across both metropolitan and rural Australia, caring for people from a broad range of backgrounds and communities. That experience has taught me to meet each person as an individual, wherever they have come from and wherever they are in life.
I work with adults aged 18 to 65, and I have experience across a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, ADHD/ASD, trauma, personality, addiction, psychosis, bipolar, eating and related conditions. Something I care about deeply is communication, and building a collaborative, respectful relationship with the people I see. I want my clients to feel genuinely heard, and involved in their own care.
My approach starts with understanding each person’s unique circumstances, the whole picture rather than just a diagnosis, and then working together towards outcomes that are meaningful and that last. I take a holistic view, and my aim is always care that fits around my client’s life and goals.
Alongside my private practice, I am involved in psychiatric clinical trials and emerging treatments, and I keep a close interest in advances within the field. Above all, I am committed to providing evidence-based care, tailored to what matters most to the people I serve and work with.
What I Help With
My Areas Of Practice
I work with adults aged 18 to 65, and my private practice focuses on general adult psychiatry across a broad range of mental health conditions. Areas I have a particular interest in include:
- General adult mental health, including mood and anxiety conditions
- Psychological trauma, informed by meaningful work in a specialist trauma service during my training
- ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions
- Stress, burnout and adjustment
- A broad range of other adult mental health conditions
If you are not sure whether I am the right fit for what you are going through, the administration team is happy to help point you in the right direction.
How I Work
Collaborative, Holistic, And Evidence-Based
I take a collaborative and holistic approach. That means starting with you as a whole person, your circumstances, your history and your goals, and working together rather than simply handing down a plan. I place real value on clear communication and a respectful, trusting relationship, because I think that is the foundation of good care.
My care is evidence-based and tailored to you. Through my involvement in psychiatric clinical trials and emerging treatments, I stay close to advances in the field, so that the care I offer reflects current evidence. Depending on what suits you, treatment might include medication, psychological approaches, or coordinating with the other people supporting you.

How To Arrange A Consultation
As with any psychiatrist, you will need a referral from your GP to see me. I am also pleased to say I do not have a waiting list at present.
