Hi, I'm Merran

A Little About Me And What I Do

Hi, I’m Merran. I’m a qualified nutritionist and ADHD coach, and I love helping people feel better in their everyday lives through practical, realistic changes to how they eat and how they manage the day to day. I work primarily with people with ADHD, and with anyone wanting to support their focus, energy and general wellbeing through food and helpful habits.

My path here was not a straight line. I have a background in dance, Pilates and teaching, and that teacher’s heart has stayed with me. I love breaking things down, making them doable, and helping people feel more in control. After studying nutrition, I found my niche in the link between what we eat and how we feel, think and function.

I work with you, not at you. Rather than rigid rules or one-size-fits-all plans, I focus on practical, personalised support that fits your real life, your goals, and the way your brain works. My aim is for you to leave feeling more confident, more capable, and a little kinder to yourself.

Nutrition And Practical Support, Online

I offer nutrition support and practical coaching, online, for adults. The areas I work with include:

  • Nutrition for mental wellbeing, focus and energy
  • Building realistic, sustainable eating habits
  • Practical, ADHD-friendly strategies for everyday life, including planning, routines and the food side of executive function
  • Feeling well through food, including general gut health
  • Online courses, guides and resources to learn at your own pace

My work is about practical support and education, and it complements, rather than replaces, care from your GP, psychiatrist, psychologist or a dietitian. If you are managing a medical condition or difficulties with eating, I will always encourage the right clinical support alongside, or instead of, what I offer.

Practical, Personalised, And Free Of Shame

I take a practical, non-judgemental and personalised approach. There are no rigid diets or shame here. Instead, we work with your goals, your lifestyle and your preferences to find changes that actually stick, building from where you are rather than from where some plan says you should be.

As a coach, I help you turn good intentions into doable systems and habits, the kind that work with an ADHD brain rather than against it. As a nutritionist, I translate the evidence into simple, realistic guidance you can use. And as a former teacher, I love that moment when things finally click.

Training And Experience

Qualifications

  • Master of Nutrition (MNutrition). Deakin University.
  • Bachelor of Health Science (BHealthSci). Deakin University.
  • Master of Teaching (Secondary). La Tribe University.

Certifications

  • Health Coaching certification. Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN).
  • ADHD coaching certification.

I also have a background in dance and Pilates, and I create online content, recipes, guides and courses, to help people learn and stay supported between sessions. As a note on scope, nutritionist is not a registered title in Australia in the way that dietitian is, so I work within nutrition education and support, and I will always point you towards a dietitian or medical care where that is what is needed.

How To Get Started

I see clients online via telehealth, so we can work together from wherever suits you. You do not need a referral, and you are welcome to enquire directly, though many people come to me through a referral from Dr Robert Gillies at Evallies.

  • Format: online, via telehealth
  • Referral: not required; referrals welcome via Dr Robert Gillies at Evallies, or enquire directly
  • Funding: not Medicare-rebatable; some private health funds may cover nutrition consultations
  • Also available: online courses, eBooks and guides to support you between sessions
  • Availability: No waitlist

A Bit More About Me

When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me moving in some way. I teach and practise Pilates, and I recently ticked off a half marathon, still not entirely sure how. I love to travel, cook and develop new recipes, and I share a lot of that along the way. For me, living well is something I genuinely enjoy rather than just talk about, and I hope a little of that rubs off on the people I work with.
