A doctor at our rooms today.

Dr Robert Gillies is currently unavailable

Dr Robert Gillies is not expected to be able to see new patients for general psychiatric care until late 2025. When he is available, he accepts referrals for people aged between 16 to 50 years old. Dr. Gillies has a special interest in treating neurodevelopmental and related conditions (for example: autism, ADHD, tic/Tourette's conditions, OCD, binge eating, insomnia, and anxiety conditions). He is not currently accepting new referrals for patients who require treatment primarily for addiction, bipolar affective disorder, schizophrenia, anorexia/bulimia nervosa, or major depressive disorder.

Substance use (or prescribed THC) and ADHD assessments:

Substance misuse / alcohol dependence will render an ADHD assessment inaccurate, compromise treatment, and also pose legal barriers to prescribing ADHD treatment in Victoria. Generally speaking, it is recommended that all substance misuse and alcohol misuse be controlled for a period of at least 12 months prior to your ADHD assessment. If substance misuse, prescribed THC, or alcohol misuse is a current issue for you, please seek support from a drug and alcohol service (and please note that Evallies does not currently host any drug/alcohol workers).

Located in the Camberwell Junction.

Phone line: available to current patients, from Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm.

In case of an emergency, call 000 or attend the nearest public hospital to access a 24/hour psychiatric emergency service. Providers with Evallies Rooms are unable to offer emergency advice or consultations. Crisis telephone based services are available at the following website http://www3.health.vic.gov.au/mentalhealthservices/. If you require non-urgent medical care in between scheduled appointments or during hours in which the reception desk is closed, please visit your GP to discuss.

The Evallies phone line is closed on Australian/Victorian public holidays, after business hours (listed above), and from December 25th to January 1st inclusive. When contacting the reception desk for any matter, please note that e-mail is not the preferred method for contact as it may not be monitored and emails may not be received. Email is sometimes insecure causing privacy breaches of sensitive healthcare information, and responses may be delayed. Therefore, please instead communicate clinical information via the phone during business hours or during scheduled medical reviews. If you require non-urgent care outside of trading hours, seek consultation with your GP.
