OCD Support.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is an often debilitating condition that results in intrusive, repetitive and unwanted mental experiences, which cause people to respond in a ritualistic and repetitive way. The responses to obsessions may increase the intensity or severity of the obsessions, but with care and support from a mental healthcare clinician, this cycle can be managed.

Hospital Care for OCD

The Melbourne Clinic’s OCD Program

If you are living with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), you may well know that it can be a debilitating condition that affects your life in a variety of ways. Fortunately, there is help available, and the Melbourne Clinic’s OCD Inpatient Program is one of the leading treatment options for those seeking relief from OCD symptoms.

The Melbourne Clinic’s OCD Program provides comprehensive care for those struggling with OCD. The program is tailored to meet the individual goals of each patient, allowing for a personalised treatment plan that addresses unique circumstances and needs. The program includes both group and individual therapy sessions that help manage obsessions and rituals, as well as a review of each person’s medications. The program is based on the principles of “Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy” (ERP), a type of psychotherapy that targets OCD (explained at the bottom of this webpage).

The OCD Inpatient Program helps patients gain insight into their OCD symptoms and develop strategies for managing them. Patients will receive education on the nature of OCD, and how to cope with triggers. Additionally, the program provides a supportive environment in which patients can learn how to develop better coping skills, and to build a healthier relationship with themselves and others.

The Melbourne Clinic’s OCD Inpatient Program is staffed by a team of experienced clinicians who understand the complexities of OCD. The team includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals who are dedicated to providing the best care possible for each patient.
