The Wechsler Individual Achievement Test - Second Edition (WIAT-II)

The WIAT-II.

The Wechsler Individual Achievement Test - Second Edition (WIAT-II) is a cognitive assessment tool that is commonly used in autism and/or ADHD assessments. The test can assess a child's academic abilities in a classroom setting and identify areas where they may need additional support or intervention. It does not give an “IQ” score, but it does assess a range of cognitive abilities related to academic achievement, including reading, writing, math, and verbal skills.

The results of the WIAT-2 assessment can help parents and educators better understand a child's academic strengths and weaknesses, as well as identify areas where additional support or intervention may be needed. The results are sometimes required by school funding programs and teachers when designing classroom interventions.
